The Christmas lights at the Cumberland Road entrance were recently vandalized, as well as holiday decorations in homeowners?’ yards on Boone Drive.

One homeowner related how several kids were playing on the ice last year & when she asked them to stop, they talked back & then proceeded to jump up & down trying to prove the ice was safe.

It?’s best to let the authorities handle incidents such as these. If they get enough trouble reports in this area, perhaps they?’ll cruise through more often. While it might be a hassle to make the call, you could be saving your neighbor from having to go through the same thing, or in the case of the ponds, you could be saving a life.

So.. who ya gonna call? Your best bet would be the Sheriff, at 231-8200.
