In a conversation the other day, I had suggested to a motorist who recently had an accident with a CELL PHONE driver to carry a PROTECTION LETTER.
I told her a driver had been in engaged in a conversation whereas she was distraught and uncomprehensive. Because of her being upset, she lost control of the vehicle and struck me head on. As I told her had she just pulled off the road, the accident could had been easily avoided.
Now I not only have a damaged vehicle, but lost time from work due to injuries I've suffered. After giving a copy of my letter to the officer and the driver, the case was resolved satisfactory and immediately.
The copies of these letters in my car had been already sent via mail to a family member, my lawyer, City of Columbus and a friend in the event if I was ever to have an accident due to neglect of a "CELLPHONE USER", I personally wanted them to pursue not only the driver but the City of Columbus.
You may ask "WHY"? If the City of Columbus and surrounding areas had passed a LAW\CITY ORDINANCE on cellphone use while driving, it would be enforced and they would not also be held liable of neglect.
Send a letter to Mayor's Coleman's Office and Govenor Taft's office as well as the above mentioned so if you're ever in an accident with a "Cellphone user who is at fault", your case will be easily won.
