Sexual Battery Series

Since the early part of 2000, at least 10 assaults have occurred in the area of the BART paths in Berkeley, Albany and El Cerrito. The victims have all been women.  The suspect rides a bicycle behind a woman pedestrian and grabs her buttocks before riding away.  The majority of these incidents have occurred in the early evening hours, although occasionally there has been a morning report.  We believe that other crimes by the same suspect may not have been reported, and he may be responsible for more violent similar cases.

SUSPECT described as:

Hispanic Male Adult
20-30 years old, approximately 5 7 , 150lbs
Black Hair, possible mustache
Usually wears dark clothing
Rides various types of bikes
