Tempe Awarded Grant to Study Older Neighborhoods

In 1953 our neighborhood was a small collection of treeless "spec homes" at the southern edge of a town of 8,000. Today we are a neighborhood in a forest of mature trees in the heart of a dynamic city with a population of 160,000! Tempe has been awarded a grant to study the older neighborhoods like ours to determine their age and how much of their original character remains, and what their potential for historic designation might be.
