(Jim Newell) Tempe?’s past is often seen as a kinder, simpler time when it was easier to get things done in the neighborhood. But change has always required a committed collection of neighbors using a handful of ideas and tools to improve their community.
For the next two years, we will be challenged to help plan for the future of our neighborhood. This process will help us prioritize our efforts and apply for funding over the next five years. Keep in mind, more than 45 neighborhood associations and 60 homeowners associations compete for available grant money. To compete effectively and get the maximum ?“punch?” we must fit our Daley Park neighborhood plan into larger city plans including the new Central Tempe Neighborhood Area planning process.
