(Jim Newell) The old carob tree that hugs the ground in the middle of Daley Park has cradled and shaded four decades of neighborhood children. Our longtime neighbors report it was actually uprooted in a severe thunderstorm and then replanted. We have an opportunity to commemorate that historic landmark in a Daley Park logo. To make it fun we are inviting neighbors, children and adults alike to submit a photograph, drawing, poem or story about the carob tree. Keep in mind it might be used as a logo on street signs, T-shirts, stationary, web site, and awards.
