Trenching Broadway Lane

(Jim Newell) Tempe is burying communication cable along Broadway Lane. Our DPNA Steering Committee met with representatives from the city and the construction company two weeks ago to share our concerns about the construction. The city and contractor agreed to the following:

No work would be done at night along Broadway Lane. All the landscaping would be "bored under or trenched around".
A construction notification letter would sent to all affected neighbors with updated information and a telephone number. We also expressed our concerns about the traffic restrictions on Broadway Lane during the trenching; they assured us they will install "no parking" signs and have a flagmen on duty to allow local traffic in and out during the trenching.
