Because of the fire station

Unfortunately, that makes sense. I wonder what it would take to get a police officer to plant himself somewhere on Chimney Hill and let the speeding tickets fly. This was done a few months ago and I seem to remember that the cop was kept extremely busy. If the police could do this on alternate days over a long period of time, maybe some people would slow down.

Or, my alternate plan would involve moving the fire station and making this a gated community (wishful thinking, eh).

Alleys Also!

I cringe when I see cars going down our alleys at 30 mph or faster. We have more children playing in and around alleys than our streets. Also, due to privacy fences, it is very difficult to see cars coming out of driveways, and it is difficult for them to see you. I don't know what the law says about this, but I think 10 mph should be the speed limit in our alleys. Please slow down in our alleys, as well as our streets.

Too FAST on Chimney Hill

I agree Chimney Hill is a race track!!!!! and the STOP SIGNS....that's a joke. I have been in the neighborhood 4 years. One day I watched the police sit out infront of my house and handout 7 tickets in a 45 minute period and the verbal abuse the officer took from people was terrible. I hope that the larger percent of people speeding down Chimney Hill are not from the neighborhood......I hope I am right.
