We're thinking about getting it. Does anyone have any positive/negative comments, tips, etc? For one, we tried calling them to get some questions answered but got tired of being on hold.

I've had SBC DSL since it first became available in our neighborhood. They came out, installed it, and I haven't had a problem since.

But I'm on a Mac. ;-)

SBC Yahoo DSL?

Kathy and I have had it since we moved in and it's pretty reliable and the speed is fairly good. You may want to look into the entire package. Since we have our local and unlimited long distance with SBC, our DSL is only $29.95/month. Once you have it installed you probably won't have to deal with Customer Service again, which is pretty bad.

I have SBC DSL

I have only had SBC DSL for a couple of months but so far I haven't had any problems. They have several different packages with different DSL speeds but they usually don't tell you this unless you ask. I am paying 29.95 a month and I am connecting at 1536 kbps.

I cannot, however, recommend AT&T DSL. I received notice that my service might be down for a max of 10 days starting Nov. 11, 2003 for system improvements. As of Dec. 28 I still had no DSL and despite all of my calls to customer service my problem was never resolved. That is when I canceled and switched to SBC.
