We received a permit from the Missouri Dept. of Conservation to oil goose eggs this spring.
Destroying goose eggs without a permit is a crime, and the goose will only lay more in a short time.
There is a special technique for doing it, and GeesePeace will be assisting us with the project.
I would like to ask neighbors to assist us in locating nests. The geese will start building nests any time now, (early March) and they like to go back to the same spots as last year.
If any neighbors know of a nest being built on their property please let me know.
We will start communicating to the residents using email. This timesaving technology will give residents quick information while saving the neighborhood money. All communications except the required notice of the annual meeting will be done by electronic mail.
We currently have about 30 (of the 70 Danbury homes) email addresses.
If you would like to receive periodic news updates about the neighborhood, please send me an email ( skoetting@charter.net )and ask for your email address to be included in the newsletter database. All outgoing notices will be sent "blind" with no other recipients able to see the other addresses. No addresses will be given out to anyone other than neighborhood trustees.
In addition, we hope to post emailed newsletters on the website for reference.
