Davies Plantation Homeowners Association

I am not from Memphis but I have lived in the city from 2004-09 with my son going to private preschool. two years ago we wanted to get out of the city into public schools and we sold our city home and entered into a lease-purchase in Lakeland. We love Lakeland Elementary however we will not buy the house we lease-purchase because of some vacant lots that went bad near our home. We have been looking over the market for a couple months and I found a home I like in Davies - it is Lakeland Elem, Bon Lin Middle(which I know nothing about) then hops over to Arlington High. Can anyone tell me what the pros & cons are living in Lakeland VS Bartlett. It seems that our kids will still be in good schools but I cannot gather good info on taxes and the future zoning of the schools. Thank you for any responses!
