Did you notice how cool it was when you went out for the paper this morning?? That's Mother Nature?’s way of letting you know that Fall is right around the corner. Cooler weather brings the time of the year when we open those windows, get out for a walk around the neighborhood, and? pay more attention to what's going on in our neighborhood. Paying attention to what goes on around us, especially on anything that seems out of the? ordinary, is the key? to an effective Neighborhood Watch program. Here are a few reminders. Always keep those doors locked. You?’re not back on the farm in Kentucky.? You?’re in a congested urban part of Florida and there are? malicious people looking for easy opportunities. If you?’ll be out of town, ask a neighbor to keep an eye on the house and bring in the? newspapers, mail, and so forth.? Remember call 911 - for a crime in progress, such as a burglary.? ? For a suspicious incident or a situation the police should look into call 562-4242, the non-emergency number.? You have to make the initial decision as to which number to call...but CALL SOMEBODY RIGHT AWAY.
