I see that the sole Mission for your group is clearly the repeal effort. I have been accused recently of
not "grasping" your point of view on this. You are correct. The reason I do not understand your
mission is because it is about the ENDS, and not the MEANS.

I have said before that you are barking up the wrong political tree. Broomfield becoming or not
becoming a county won't change the MEANS employed in getting there. It won't help anything, and it
won't make your lives of the lives of those around you any better -- unless you really are doing out of
spite. I will take you at your word that you are not, but instead have perhaps painted yourselves into a
corner.

Here is my advice, and please take me at my word that I only mean to help. Why don't your change
the things you CAN instead of the things you cannot? Why not organize a campaign against the
"unethical" leaders in your own community first before trying to fix the ills of your neighbors? I find it
odd that BR Anon is helping you in Westminster rather than people in Broomfield, and is using this site
to argue back and forth with Broomfield advocates. Is that because there aren't' enough people in
Broomfield who care about the leadership/corporate/county issues? What does that tell you?

You say that if everyone knew what REALLY happened and how the county REALLY came about,
they would not want it. I think you're wrong. I don't think anyone really cares as much as the ten of
you. I personally think a community like Broomfield, lying in four different counties, should become its
own county. It is a great idea, and I would vote for it again regardless of how the questions got put on
the ballot, regardless of how much corporate involvement there was, and regardless how the
neighbors in Westminster feel -- no offense. Unless you discover that Broomfield's becoming a
county is going to negatively impact me here in Northglenn, what do I care?

You have been asked before, and you will be asked again -- what do you possibly stand to gain for
yourselves and your own community by repealing the county status of Broomfield? You answer that a
repeal will restore "ethics" in government. I doubt it. What I think you can do, however, is expose
the problems you see on a local level instead of involving the entire (apathetic) state. Use all of the
"truth" you've learned to make some changes to the MEANS, not the ENDS. Start with your own
community. Do you really think Broomfield is the first CC to make corporate deals and take
corporate money?

Direct your energy to where you can be most effective. Check into your own CC and you might
discover something you can actually do something about. Don't waste your precious energy on
someone else's problems.

One last bit of advice, then I will be on my way. Cheryl, you stated that "maybe Interlocken said, hey,
if you try and become a county, we'll back you up, take care of your friends," etc. because that is
"pretty darn close to what probably took place." PLEASE make sure you have hard and fast proof of
some serious LEGAL wrongdoing (not just ethical, because I think you've seen that is in the eye of the
beholder) regardless of whomever you attack. "Pretty darn close to what probably took place" is not
very convincing, and is why people see your group as paranoid and crazy.

Good Luck
