My preference

My preference is that I will not be responding to John in any of his future posts. John, unfortunately, has accomplished what he sought to do; cause dissension among the participants of this board, and deny free and open discussion about the ethics of the BFCC in their actions forming BF County. That is our purpose.
John has managed to make this board into a forum of filthy accusations, innuendos, and personal attacks that do not warrant a response. Unfortunately,
he has been successful in changing the focus away from the county to one of personal accusations. In my mind, we give her/him too much credit and attention. This person is not worthy of response; and I choose not to respond.
I am confortable in my position; as you have all learned; nothing I have posted cannot be verified. No, I will not be leaving Broomfield; no I will not move to Westminster, yes, I will continue to search for valid information, and yes, I will continue to support CVLEG in their efforts to find the truth in local government. If that means that my government is the example of unethical behavior, so be it. I do wish this were not so; but at some point it has to stop; and no better place than here.
I neither participated in the decisions made by BF CC during this formation; nor did I encourage members of the council to make these decisions.
John is representative of the lowest scum on the political rung in this city; and I can honestly say not all our council or city staff are scum; nor would they communicate with members of the citizenry the way that John communicates with us. John is a council woman; that is why she uses the name John. She also seeks anonymity; I sure that in public her ward sees her as meek and gentle. Our council woman is intent in making all of you believe that I am unstable; I guarantee you that I am perfectly capable of taking care of my life; while keeping an objective perspective on various subjects.
I would hope some of you would join me in ignoring John; I personally choose not to respond to her/his ramblings.

Let us return to the questions on this board; the funding for CBLG, the funding for votes for NWP; the city manager's notes for participation on the subject of the county in city council meetings, the funding for the lobbyists at the state legislative sessions. These are potentially illegal acts; these are the focus of this board.

You are 100% right, but there are times that individual gets under my skin!! I would still like some answers to the questions you have previously posted. Is there ANYONE out there that can do that?? Hope you all have a good weekend, stay safe and stay warm!!

This Board is in Trouble

And it is our own faults.

Wow, I've been checking the board and I've got to say one thing before I quit reading this altogether. I think it's time for some introspection. I ask you each to consider the following:

1. The best response to an undignified post is NO response. To go on and on about how wrong that person was to insult you is to give them a larger presence. We have created John. Without our defensive responses - he would be nothing. Let John have the last word, and let US move on.

2. Don't be insulted by what an undignified poster may say about you - their tone and style speaks volumes about their credibility.

3. Stand back, take a deep breath, and read your own posts. Have we collectively fallen into a trap. I think we have.

Also, I want to say: Pam, I'm sorry that you've decided to leave. I'm almost sure there has been a misunderstanding that resulted in the last posts of the last board, but I understand why you want to leave. Your posts have been VERY informative and enlightening. Pam, you have been a stellar contributer and I'm SO GLAD you participated. I hope we can meet and maybe work together on some project in the future. (PS - I, too, print out posts. But lately they're so ridiculous, I don't bother.)

We used to discuss information. But now I find this "offensive-insult/defensive-insult" cycle toxic to my spirit. I thought we could let it go and move on, but it's taking too long and I'm impatient. And so I need a break from this board. For everyone, I wish you all the best.
