I am of the belief that substantial disruptions will occur as a result of the upcoming date change, with respect to our local infrastructure being able to provide food, water, and power services, as well as public protection. I have heard no mention of any community groups in the area organizing with the intention of taking the lead to help interested neighbors to prepare as they see fit for their families. Further, these groups of neighbors could possibly be confronted with the task of neighborhood security if that became necessary after the first of the year.

Yes, my family and I have lived in Southbridge II since 1986.

Just checking!

We get a lot of 'stuff' sent to us because we are on neighborhood link and usually it's from groups that are NOT in our neighborhood, just using this platform.

I haven't heard from anyone else planning for a Y2K problem in the neighborhood. I think there are varying views on Y2K and people are just handling things individually. How about if I put something out in the next newsletter? Ask if anyone is interested in discussing it?
