Desert Mirage Neighborhood Block Watch

We have a volunteer to be Treasurer for our Neighborhood Partnership Association/Block Watch. Funds right now are at $3.77 which will be turned over to the new volunteer as soon as possible. This fund will need to be built back up to help out for the Block Party on October 16th. Any suggestions will be taken into concideration.

Doesn't the City of Glendale offer Block Watch assistance in the way of grants, etc. Do you have a contact person? I would be happy to pursue this with them. Let me know who to contact.

Monies

Kathie, The city does in fact have grants and other monies available to communities. Most are for beautification projects, or for fixing up areas of neglect. These are applied for through the city but to date we have not needed any finacial assistance since this is a new area and is pretty much in great shape. Our councilmen did make a $50.00 donation to help us out with the Block Party last year, but other than that we are on our own to raise our own funds.
