Robert Ayala

Manistee Justice of the Peace Candidate

Bob Ayala retired in March 2000 from the Maricopa County Sheriff?’s Office after devoting 30 years of protecting his fellow citizens. Two years prior to his leaving the department, Sheriff Joe Arpaio sent Deputy Ayala a commendation letter that praised the veteran peace officer for his ?“exceptional performance in the areas of overall activity, arrests, aggressive follow-up and investigative skills.?”

Ayala, a Native Arizonian, is running for Justice of the Peace in the Manistee Justice Precinct; formerly Glendale Justice Precinct.

As a law enforcement officer, fluent in to languages, Bob was deployed in major crime investigations, such as the Deputy Marconnet homicide case in 1988. He also played a major role (as a member of the DEA Task Force) in the notorious bust involving the Mayor of Tolleson and his supplier, a major heroin trafficker from Phoenix.

Ayala cites his law enforcement experience and knowledge of the law as two major reasons why he is prepared to serve as Justice of the Peace. Supporters quickly point out his leadership qualities and quiet assuredness. Said one friend: ?“Bob will leave the politicking to others and just do the job.?”

This weekend, Mr. Ayala and some of his volunteers will canvas the Glendale neighborhood, reminding voters to cast their ballots early or in November. Feel free to call 602-264-6372 for further campaign information and interviews.
