Neighborhood Grant Approved!

The City of Peoria?’s Neighborhood Grants Program assists with projects improving the quality of neighborhoods throughout the city.

The Desert Star HOA board has pursued a grant to help fund additional lighting in our common area around the tot lot. We have been challenged with graffiti and damage to the tot lot as well as trespassing in that common area.

We believe the extra lighting will deter, if not eliminate, the loitering and vandalism that has been a significant problem in the past.

We are excited to announce that Desert Star was awarded the grant! We hope to have the lighting installed within the next month.
