On Saturday, November 4, 2006, Difference Makers Youth Organization will host a Community Health Fair from 11:00 am ?– 1:00 pm and a Red Cross Blood Drive from 10:00 am ?– 2:00 pm at the Carver Community Center located on 3180 Oak Street, Montgomery, AL. The event is free and open to the public. Their will be a Health Lifestyle presentation by Sandy Osborne, Director of Crossroads Healthy Lifestyles Center.
This Community Health Fair will provide the community with the following health screenings and services that will be provided by the health care organizations listed below:
American Red Cross ~Blood Drive; Montgomery Area Aids Outreach ~HIV/AIDS testing & screening; Sickle Cell Foundation~Sickle Cell testing; Affordable Eyewear~Eye Screening; ALACARE~Blood Pressure screening and Home Health Care information; Montgomery Area Council on Aging~Meals on Wheels/Elder Care; Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy~Teen Pregnancy; American Cancer Society~Cancer Awareness; Dr. David Cawley Dental Office~Dental Care; American Family Care~Diabetes screening; Central Alabama Aging Consortium~Elder Assistance; Public Health Department~WIC/Plan First
