If it were not for the diligence of our neighborhood we would not have the ?‘Eyes Alert?’ program, where suspicious vehicles are watched and reported. (Eyes alert is a pair of eyes drawn on the chalkboard notifying residents to be alert for suspicious activity. Please also notify Pam of what activity has occurred and if criminal call Jeffco Sheriff)

GARDEN TIPS
It?’s time to clean up the winter trash in your garden, rake the dead leaves and give the flowerbeds breathing space. Roses can now be planted! Remove the dead leaves from irises to let the new shoots grow through. Stacking kindling now for next winter will save time in the fall, and also help tidy up your property.

Thanks to all of you who elected me to serve on the board as your president. I look forward to doing the job to the best of my ability and welcome suggestions from everyone!

I contacted the Colorado State Forest Service for the information about the Pine Beetle and I will leave flyers in a brochure box by the community chalkboard for anyone who is interested in more detailed information. I have also contacted Lam?’s Tree Service who are offering a group discount of 20-25% or more depending
upon the number of residents interested in having their trees sprayed preventatively. They are able to spray up to 1200 trees in one area per day . Spraying is a proven method of keeping uninfested but susceptible pines alive, despite attempted attack.
