Meetings remain well attended on our regular meeting nights. Our pursuit of getting the Michigan legislature to approve having a Poet Laureate for Michigan is going well. A bill is being introduced, initiated by our President of the Poetry Society of Michigan, Mono D'Angelo.

We had a special meeting at the Wayne County Community College on Feb. 9th. It consisted of several poets performing their poetry on stage with music backup. Also a time of open mic reading was enjoyed.
