It?’s Great to be a Neighbor!
James Pontello
President, Drayton Place/Kernan Chase Home Owners Association
As the newly appointed President of the Drayton Place Home Owners Association, I would like to welcome all of the new residents to the neighborhood and introduce myself to all of the members of our community. I am both excited and honored to have an active role in the life of our community.
This year?’s board of directors and I have discussed ways to keep our children safe while at play, beautify the development entrances, manage association dues more efficiently and increase the safety of our neighborhood as a whole. We are not just board members; we are home owners and neighbors, and we treasure our community. Like you, we value the many wonderful qualities of Drayton Place/Kernan Chase, and we want to continue to maintain and improve the neighborhood ?– our home.
By working together to accomplish these goals, we will be achieving the most important goal of us all ?– to create an even more desirable place to live while increasing the value of our homes. How do we do it? We can ensure that this happens by becoming involved in the neighborhood board meetings, voicing opinions about any concerns that we may have and abiding by the covenants and restrictions of the Drayton Place/Kernan Chase subdivisions. Since we have had many new home owners move into the community within the past year, the board has decided to send each resident a copy of the covenants and restrictions to ensure that there is no confusion regarding the contents of our bylaws. This document will be packaged with this first quarter 2004 edition of the community newsletter for your ease of reference.
Our next Home Owners Association meeting will be held at 7 pm on Thursday, February 26, at Watson Realty on Southside Boulevard (south of Copeland?’s restaurant). Make plans to attend, and encourage your neighbors to do the same. I look forward to seeing you there.
Wishing all of you the best,
James Pontello
