Todd DeGroff, our neighbor on Driftwood, is an attorney and has been involved with this case since the very beginning. While Todd is not a land-use attorney, he was an attorney, a prosecutor, and a judge in Seattle and has trial experience. The phase we are moving into now is the appeals process whereby our case will be presented before a judge. We need someone who is comfortable in that setting and can present our case with knowledge and clarity. Todd has agreed to handle the case and is working very hard at getting our brief ready. It will be filed in Marion County Superior Court appealing the decision by the Metropolitan Development Commission on Tuesday, Feb. 14. We are very fortunate to be represented by someone who has a vested interest in the outcome and Todd's abilities and experience. Duane O'Neil, our attorney during the hearing process, has agreed to act as a consultant to Todd pro bono.
