Whole Foods Please Read

Mar 26, 2006

This is a note from the Steinmeier Farms Assoc. Please follow the instructions to send a note to Whole Foods. I did attend the photo op, and it was very impressive. The 71st & Binford neighborhoods are going on an all out blitz to get Whole Foods to that site.

Subject: Whole Foods Market

If you weren't at the gathering at 71st and Binford last night for the kickoff to get a Whole Foods store at this location, you didn't get to sign a petition asking the company to move there. Currently Whole Foods plans to build at 86th Street on the west side of Keystone. Residents of the adjoining neighborhood as well as Nora Community Council oppose that site. Everyone would welcome Whole Foods at 71st and Binford. Take a moment and register your approval by going to the Whole Foods' website: www.wholefoodsmarket.com and click on "Company," then again on "Real Estate." Under "Real Estate Development" at the top of the screen, click on "Suggest A New Location." You can write a message to Whole Foods. From a neighborhood standpoint it is in our own best interest to revitalize the commercial area of 71st and Binford to prevent creeping blight. Lyle and I have shopped and eaten in at Whole Foods in Atlanta and Charleston, S.C. Lyle was so impressed that he said Whole Foods would be a good company to buy stock in. That was two years ago and we never bought it. Too bad. It has been a darling of Wall Street these past few years. Madelyn Sundquist, Steinmeier Farms
