What are your thoughts on petitioning for speed bumps (or humps or whatever) being added to our neighborhood? Which streets?

My Thoughts ... No.

I would like for people to drive more safely but my concern about speed bumps is the additional noise. I suspect that most of the drivers out after 10 or 11 pm until the wee hours of the morn are the younger drivers. I also suspect that they won't pay much attention to slowing down to an appropriate speed for a speed bump - especially after a cocktail or two. The result of that is that we'll be treated to a loud ''whump - whump'' as the cars pass over the speed bumps. I've already experienced this with just a small pothole in the road until it was patched.
