Yesterday, 5-29-08, I witnessed 4 teens and an adult smoking out of a pipe used for illicit drugs. I also witnessed the exchange of money for amounts of stuffed baggies. Twice the police were called and once they came. Three of the teens took off to the lake by the pump house, stuffing baggies into their pockets and the girl stuffed items into her bra. Later that evening, others were back at the park. I could not see who they were because of the lack of light.

This is becoming dangerous and ridiculous! The illumination of the small park at night will help a little and hopefully deter the activities. The other help would be notifying the parents of these delinquents and (evicting or fining) the adults involved.

It is becoming apparent that the trimming of the trees didn't do the full trick. The last time we did a crack down, the delinquents moved to the lake, immediately behind my homes fence and later moved down further to another home and now back to the small park.

With the summer coming and school letting out, I anticipate this illegal activity increasing.

Drug use has been occurring in Towne Lake for the 10 years I have lived here.  It is now more open and flagrant.  Are the lights out in the small park?  They are also out on the "Dead End" street, and I know these were replaced less than a year ago.  This can't be a coincidence.  I believe that reporting these outages immediately will at least annoy the druggies.  Anyone can call 311.  It may take several weeks before the lights are fixed.  You will need the home address closest to the street light.  You do not need a pole number.  Why can't we employ a private security company to make a pass through here several times a night?  Perhaps if our BOD and the management company would be more vigilant about enforcing home lot maintenance we wouldn't look like such an inviting area to these creeps.  The original post writer is correct:  this illegal activity will increase in the summer.

I would think calling the police is also an option.  you can use the non emergency number 207-SAPD.   They seem to respond pretty quickly the times I have used it. Maybe the police could concentrate on stopping that  behavior rather than shaking down my special needs son as he was walking home from the bus stop  in broad daylight, because he had a hooded sweat shirt on.

Did you stop the 4 teens and an adult smoking out of a pipe used for illicit drugs and get their names because if didn't you're part of the problem?
