On June 14, Darrius Starks celebrated a win for the Kiwanis Soap Box Derby at the Boys and Girls Club. Starks won the Stock Soap Box competition and qualified to compete in the Kiwanis International Soap Box Derby, which will be held in Akron, Ohio.

First Annual gathering celebration heldon July 31st at the B&G Club. The Dinner for a Difference. Fundraising event that ends with a visit from Greg Buckner and a few of his basketball buddies from the National Basketball Association that following Saturday.
