911 - What it means to me

911 - What it means to me

I have strong inner feelings about this sad day in American history like everyon else.  But I also have very mixed feelings about the course of action America took after New York and Washington DC. Bush launched an all out war and take over of Iraq" ... They  (Iraq) really had nothing to do with 911 and there were no weapons of mass destruction as we were lied to and made to believe.  They put a brother (of all people) on center stage at the UN and told the world we were going to strike Iraq and find those so called mass destruction weapons?  History has now revealed, that  those so called weapons of mass destruction did not exist!  But we have sent young innocent American men and women to war for over six years, lost countless American lives, and killed thousands of innocent Iraq citizens in this war.  So yes, I feel sad inside regarding this period in American history bought on by extreme  Islamic fanatics  from the Middle East to our shores.  But our response was even worse to America and the American people. Not to mention the billions and billons of dollars we have wasted over there, with a group of people who really don't want us in their country.  That money could have been spent here in the good ol USA with American people who really need a little help from the richest country in the world.  When world disasters happen all over the world, we're one of the first country stepping up with help, that's good and shows our heart - but what about us? We need help now! I feel sad inside regarding the whole set of events regarding 911.  Yes our country needs a change of direction in the worst way.  We have to change who we are and what we actually represent.  I hope and pray that a  new President (Obama)  will take us in the right direction.  The stakes are high.  Do we travel our same sorry course? or do make make drastic changes for the good of the American people? To all the people who lost loved ones in 911, We pray for their souls and hope for a better day in America for Americans. By
