On August 8th, 2004, E 103rd street celebrated it's 1st block party(fun day). Most residents came out and joined in the fun. Next year we hope even more will do so. The children and their invited friends enjoyed the food, music, games and give-aways.
Special thanks to Officer Belfort (69th PCT) who came on her day off with her husband and 2 children to assist.
Officer Pallazolo and her Auxillary Police officers were also in attendance... Thanks to them all. Hope to see you again next year.
FDNY: Officer Mike Crowell showed the kids his fire gear and spoke with them about FDNY careers. He also assisted with the judging of the contests. We can always count on him to assist.
DEP: Thanks a bunch to Denise for bringing lots of giveaways. She came with her son and 2 god children. Hope the kids had fun.
Brooklyn DA's office: Thanks to Karen for coming with lots of free stuff for the kids... Also all the informative materials for the adults.
