On Saturday, June 5th between approximately 8:45 and 9:15 pm, a small dark green bag was stolen from the East Hampton park area from amongst a pile of shoes and tshirts. The bag was a drawstring knapsack that had on it the words "James Weldon Johnson" in white letters. We would really appreciate the return of this bag with all of its contents intact and are willing to offer a reward for its return. Please keep your eyes and ears open for any news of this bag.
The larger issue here is that there is some sort of thievery going on in the neighborhood, most likely by students. It is extremely important to find the source and solve the issue before the offenses get worse.
