1. A second person or rear-view mirror must be in the boat pulling a skier. This does not apply to jet skis that are pulling a skier.
2. All boats must move in a counter-clockwise direction. This does not apply to jet skis, but they cannot go in a clockwise manner & most activities should be inside the boat traffic. (center of Lake)
3. Life preservers are required for each person riding in the boat.
4. All skiers must wear life jackets or belts including jet skiers.
5. POSSITIVELY NO BOATS PERMITTED IN THE SWIMMING AREA ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE DOCK.
6. Boats pulling skiers have the right-of-way, except for sailboats, rowboats & swimmers. Jet skis must give right-of-way to skiers, sailboats, rowboats & swimmers.
7. POSSITIVELY NO OVERLOADING OF BOATS.
8. All boats & equipment must be in accordance with Florida boating regulations.
9. A boat traveling at a high rate of speed or pulling a skier MUST NOT COME WITHIN 100 ft. OF THE SHORE LINE.
10. Swimmers, floaters & homeowners have rights too. PLEASE DO NOT SKI OR SPEED BETWEEN THE ISLAND & THE MAINLAND. IT CAUSES UNDUE WASHING OF SEAWALLS & DANGER OF COLLISION AT THE CANAL ENTRANCE.IT IS WITHIN 100 ft OF THE SHORELINE.
11. When launching a boat through the Civic Center, a resident must accompany the boat at all times.
12. Only one boat or three jet skis per household on the Lake at any given time.
13. All power boats & jet skis must abide by the no-wake zone areas located near the Civic Center dock and ALL canals.
Remember..use of the Lake is a privilege, violation of the rules may be punishable by law and include your loss of this privilege. These rules were created for the safety of all of us.
