Clean up the block

Posted in: E 103rd St Block
Our block is dirty. We need to clean it up. Everyone should keep their surroundings clean. Lets start keeping the block clean... If you see paper in fromt of your or your neighbor's house pick it up.. Encourage the kids not to throw things in the street on on the side walk...PUT IT IN THE GARBAGE BIN...

This is our block!!!

Thank you Roxanne for your concern.

Some of the people in our community really do not understand what it means to upkeep their community or even their own surroundings.   Yes, parents should teach their kids to dispose of their garbage in a bin not on the sidewalks.  Parents them selves who do not understand  should also train themselves to do the same.

Good looking out Roxanne, this problem is all over Canarsie.

It is time for the City to start giving out tickets to Home Owners and Businesses whoes premises are littered with trash.  It is a health issue.

Thank you.

Hey there! Hope everyone is doing well. Who do we speak to for a formal introduction? Raven's School is now open and we're a Montessori- Traditional school that implements Technology.

We're a tech savvy school that uses iPads, computers and the Montessori teachings for our students.  Our Pre School through 5th grade students are excited to be here.

Raven's School students would love to volunteer to be apart of a Christmas show in a local school or church. Please keep us in mind.

+I am sorry that our TA was not active since your post but we are active now and this is still an issue to put on our agenda.  We are happy to report that our maintenance crew does a good job of maintaining cleanliness around the property.  Unfortunately we will have to find a way to address the issue of tenants dropping candy wrappers, plastic bags and other debris after our custodians have worked so hard to keep the property clean.

Great advice you gave and people should heed it.  Just because someone threw something on the ground or the floor doesn't mean its not your responsibility to pick it up.  This is every tenant's block and you should treat it just as you would the inside of your home.  Thanks for the tip!  We are our brother's keeper.
