Tamarack Village Apartments

At our last meeting we learned there is another development going in our neighborhood. Tamarack Village Apartments.

This will be a 40 unit apartment complex on approximately 2.25 acres located at 5913 NE 58th Street. This is in an R1-18 zoning district.

There is one peculiar thing with this notice in that this application was subject to public notice and administrative review but there was NO PUBLIC HEARING.

Comments were to be sent to Development Services Division, Clark County Community Development, Attn: Richard Daviau (SPR98026) at 1408 Franklin Street, Post Office Box 9810 Vancouver, WA 98666-9810 or faxed to 360 397-2011.

Michael McCafferty hand delivered a letter to Mr. Daviau voicing his concerns with this development and the lack of public notice and meeting other than the notice of development that Michael received. He attended a meeting of the Neighborhood Advisory Committee where Mr. Daviau was to be present with intent on asking him a few questions regarding them not holding a public hearing for this development. Michael will hopefully have some more information for us at our August meeting.
