Eagle Eye, in conjunction with TPD, will be meeting with the businesses on Florida Avenue that are part of our grid, to invite them to join our Neighborhood Watch group as well as to form a Business Watch group. This will take place the end of October or the first part of November. If you have friends or family who live on Tampa Street and don't have internet access to view this web page, PLEASE give them the information on this; we need input before we meet with these businesses.
A large percentage of the Calls for Service to our grid originate from some of these businesses. We hope to be able to work with these businesses and help prevent any crime involvng their establishments from overflowing into our neighborhood.
If you live on Tampa Street, you have a "bird's eye view" of the backs of those businesses. If people are hopping the fence to their back lot and rummaging through things; if people are having parties in the back behind the buildings, WE NEED TO KNOW. We can't address issues if we don't know about them. If you have any suggestions/concerns/comments that you can offer to us before we meet with these business owners, PLEASE communicate them to us.
