Does anyone know what is going on at Richland Village on 51st. They have closed and some of the buildings are being torn down. I've heard that the Community Center is being relocated there or, alternatively, that the golf course is expanding. Does anyone know the truth?

I've heard the following from a reliable source at Metro:

''We are in the process of demolishing the 'cottages' (one story buildings) on the Richland property. They have not been used for several years for their intended purpose and were in disrepair. The Administration buildings are still occupied and still used by Social services. I understand that Park's is looking at a portion of the site for some purposes, exactly what I am not certain. ''

In our neighborhood meetings, our councilman, John Summers, has talked of putting a Greenway trailhead, a place to park while using the Greenway trail, there.
