November Board Meeting

1. In October the Board of Directors reviewed, discussed and approved the budget for 2005. A copy of this budget, notice of the annual meeting, new coupon books and envelopes will be mailed out in December. The HOA has been operating in a deficit for several years now. The board has been very active in trying to find ways to cut costs and reduce outgo. Many have spent quite a few Saturday mornings doing volunteer work to cut maintenance expenses. After reviewing the CC & R?’S, The board has included in the budget a $16.00 per month water surcharge per unit. This figure was arrived with the help of the City of Mesa Water Conservation Dept. and our Attorney. This assessment will go into effect on January 1, 2005. Homeowners will have to add the additional $16.00 to their monthly HOA assessment. This water surcharge was added because the HOA is not receiving enough funds in each month to cover our basic maintenance fees. It will also give us a chance to create a reserve fund account for our community.

2. A Big welcome goes out to our 2 new members, elected in November to serve on the Board of Directors.

Mark Nelson and David Bush.

Remember there will be an election at the Annual Meeting in January. If interested in running for a position on the board of directors, please contact Bill Bates at Rossmar & Graham. (480) 551-4219

Paint Giveaway

On Saturday, November 13, 2004
You will be happy to know that 7 residents showed up at the Paint for Less parking lot to take part in this giveaway, and Eastwood Park ended up with 120 gallons of paint. All we need now is a paint sprayer, and we can start fixing up those spots on our walls where the water has washed off the paint.
Thank you to all of the residents that helped with this free collection.

Annual Garage Sale

Eastwood Park Home Owners?’ annual garage sale was a great success. There were 9 families involved in this sale. Using the South side of the property turned out good, as we didn?’t have the sun in our eyes. Thanks to all of the residents that participated in this event.
