EDGEMOOR MEETING NOV. 21, 2002

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M.

Minutes from the October meeting were read and approved.

Treasurer?’s report of $734.19 was approved.

Cona Report: Salvation Army representative appealed to organizations for contributions, food servers, pick-up truck drivers, or basically any type of help you would be willing to give. They are also looking for ?“Angels?” to come forward and help other families, elderly, etc. to have a nice holiday. There are families available for adoption by associations or individuals. Also, they are looking for associations who would be responsible for the Red Bucket & Bell Ringer for the holiday in their area.
Cona has a monthly meeting with the Mayor and the Chief of police regarding concerns in the City. This meeting time has now been modified to be 2 hrs. prior to the Cona meeting.
On January 11th, 2003 there is a workshop to discuss changes in the traffic calming issues.
The next session of the Cona meeting is a ?“brag?” session about your neighborhood and it?’s accomplishments.

It was suggested and approved to donate $100.00 to Salvation Army for Christmas needs.

Our CPO officers were unable to attend this meeting. Officer Deary is out on medical leave. Officer Troung was unable to attend due to High Priority orders

Pat Allen attended a Mayor?’s breakfast, which was also attended by the Chief of police. She felt it was very informative and that the Chief of police took a lot of notes regarding concerns within the neighborhoods that were in attendance.

The reclaimed water project on 62nd Ave. NE will be continuing until April 2003. The second part of this project, which is to run pipes, North on 1st St. NE to 74th Ave NE will be in process from April through July.

There is a public forum being held at Riviera Middle School on Wed. Dec. 4 at 7:00 P.M. regarding the proposed changes for Puryear Park.

Jules Nahon asked about the status of our newsletter and he was asked if he could do some follow up on this.

Nominations for the 2003 elections are due in December.

The Dec. meeting will be on Dec. 19th at Kissin?’Cousins on 4th St. N at 7:30 P.M.
