Edgewater residents:

We want to bring you up to date on the following items:

Speed Humps: The city delivered petitions to residents on Cadillac Drive and surveys to residents in Edgewater. Cadillac Drive residents overwhelming supported the installation of speed humps. Edgewater residents overwhelming did not. The city is installing the humps soon. It is fortunate that we had a voice in this matter but is a concern that we did not have a vote. That matter you may influence on Election Day. My thanks to Bob Forsyth and Gary Billick for joining me in our endeavors to address this issue with Councilman Wolff and the residents on Cadillac Drive.

Common Area: We have accepted a bid to install 240 cubic yards of cedar mulch in the beds and around the trees in the common area as well as lightly update the landscaping where needed.

Pond: The pond aerators are finally working. The lights on the fountain are not and a work order is in process. The record rainfall in March has created excess nutrients in our ponds and therefore the algae. We are working with Brad Vollmar with Vollmar Pond & Lake Management to reduce the algae and control growth. This weekend Brad will be on-site to start the process.

Uninvited Guests: We continue to have uninvited guests using the common area. If identified, the management company will notify the uninvited guests by mail regarding their entrance and use of our private property/trespassing. If you see someone using the common area that is not a resident or invited guest of a resident, please ask him or her to leave, call the police, contact Bob Forsyth, or me. We have upgraded the walking gate to prevent joggers/walkers from outside the neighborhood from reaching into the gate to turn the handle. The gate code remains the same. If unsure of the walking gate code, contact the management company, Bob Forsyth, or me.
