A New Park for Edgewood!

After years of trying to purchase a portion of the Aviation property from the State, the City of Lakewood closed on the property August 16th. The City acquired 1.560 acres (67,940 square feet) to add to the 1.204 acres (52,440 square feet) that it had purchased from Mrs. Westler for a 2.764 acre neighborhood park.

The location of the park will be at 19th and Teller. The date of the development of the park is unknown at this time. The Edgewood community thanks Governor Owens for giving his attention to our personal request and thanks the City for its patience and persistence in purchasing the property.
