Santa Ana Historical Preservation Society-Save Broadway Corridor

The Santa Ana Historical Preservation Society (SAHPS) is asking for help. The Historic Broadway Corridor and its adjacent neighborhoods are threatened with destrucioin by the propesed development of "One Broadway Plaza." A 37 story office tower is being promoted by Caribou Industries. They have systematcally purchased every parcel on the block proposed as the site for this developmen (10th to Washington and Bradway to Sycamore).

The SAHPS wants to preserve the collection of historic buildings within the Bradway Corridor. We believe the impending demolition of the historic Yale Apartments at 1007-1009 N. Broadway (listed in the Santa Ana Register of Historical Property) is the beginning of a piece meal destruction of this Historic District.

We are forming an Ad Hoc Committee to be known as the"Broadway Bulldogs."
