Ellerbe Road Estates Neighborhood Forum

Our foundation has one corner that has sunk and it has created some cracking in the brick and interior walls.  We have an older house that of course is built on clay soil.  I have tried keeping the perimeter of the foundation moist, etc., but when the summertime gets here there is no keeping up.

Have any of you ever had the sttell piers put in?  Which company did you use?  Any advice or tips?

I had the same problem and I think most of us in this neighborhood will.  I used Abry Brothers.  They did a great job.  They used concrete piers.  They put them about every 8 feet or so around the perimeter of the slab.  It wasn't cheap, but we got things fixed before there was any damage to the slab itself.
