Neighborhood Events including Funwagon

The City sponsored Events Calendar does not generally include local neighborhood activities and depends on advance notice of events. Be sure to check the Community Calendar at the Ellsworth Springs neighborhood page not just for garage sales and such which you can add, but for neighborhood forums, activities, and other meetings such as with city staff.

Anyone can add an event in the neighborhood

The Community Calendar allows anyone to add an event. All you have to do is sign up a user, which is free. HOWEVER, only add events in or specifically relevant to the Ellsworth Springs Neighborhood. Use the Citywide calendar for events not specific to the Ellsworth Springs Neighborhood. If you are having a garage sale in the neighborhood, you may want to add it to both the neighborhood and citywide community calendars.

FunWagon (Future of Event in Doubt)

Each summer a Funwagon travels to Ellsworth Park for 2 hours a week with a program aimed at entertaining 5-12 year olds. See the Community Calendar for times and dates. During 2002 it was Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to Noon, but it may vary each year.

You can use our link to the Office of Neighborhoods to check on the schedule of this Funwagon citywide. However, be aware that eliminating the Funwagon program was proposed as a cost saving measure for 2003.
