Major events (not neighborhood ones) in the city are typically posted on the Vancouver or Clark County Events Calendars--see the links for on the webpage for those, but don't expect to see local neighborhood events there. All community events calendars are also depending on people notifying the sponsor of the calendar and none should be considered all inclusive. In our region there is always something to do everyday.
When your neighborhood association becomes aware of a new community service intended to serve our residents, we post the information, such as when a senior activities program opened nearby. It wasn't in our neighborhood, but was set up to serve our neighborhood and nearby ones.
The Best Garage Sales are often ones you don't have to drive across town to discover. Anything within our neighborhood is within walking distance from you. Anyone in the neighborhood may post garage sales and other announcements. As long as they are within the rules provided by neighborhood links and within community standards they are allowed. To add an announcement, just register for FREE with Neighborhood Links as a member and follow the directions provided. The process is very easy and anyone who can browse the internet has more than the needed computer skills to add an announcement. You can also use the free services of Neighborhood Links to start simple, informative websites for social and civic organizations you belong to.
