Animal Care Services has a new initiative called Pets for Life. This education and assistance program aims to identify pet owners who need some education and assistance on keeping their pets, especially outside pets, safe, healthy and comfortable. Not only do they assist with spay/neuter help, vaccinations, emergency vet care and education, but also with fencing, dog houses, and getting dogs off chains.
The coordinator of this initiative needs some volunteers to help pass out fliers in a local neighborhood tomorrow (Friday, 6/20) between 1:00-4:00. Volunteers will meet at the Benavides Learning Center (attached to Las Palapas at 515 Castroville Rd.) at 1:00 and leave together to the targeted neighborhood.
Please only volunteers 16 or older.
