What is a Mission Statement?
A mission statement is more concerned with the overall aim of an organization; a simple statement of the collaborative's reason for being. Often the statement will include verbiage that makes a pledge to deliver a superior product or service to customers on a consistent basis. From this perspective, a mission statement is about maintaining a certain quality or attribute.
- Crafting a Vision Statement
What Is A Vision Statement?
- A form of mission statement, issued by a company or organization, in which its intentions for the future are.
- Essentially this is a description of the organization; its size, its basic structure, its sphere of influence. Rather than describing the organization as it currently exists, the statement presents a picture of the desirable future.
- A statement that captures the long-term picture of what the organization wants to become. A vision statement must be inspirational, memorable and reflect the desires of those with vested interests.
- A broad statement of the desired future condition and character of the organization, which reflects how and for what theorganization wants to be known for; what it wants its citizens to experience through the successful accomplishment of the the organization’s mission.
