Expansion of McCreary Road - As most of your have probably noticed, the new homes are under construction across from Creekside Estates in the City of Murphy. Per a previous discussion with the city engineer from Wylie, we were under the impression that construction in the area closest to McCreary would not begin until the second half of McCreary Road has been completed from McMillen up to the city limits, however, the City of Murphy is still having trouble with the owner of the property at the northwest corner of McMillen and McCreary who is refusing to sell. To keep from further delaying the construction, the City of Murphy has allowed the building to begin, but they have escrowed the funds for the future completion of McCreary Road until they can settle with the aforementioned property owner ?– when this will happen is still not known.

Railroad Tracks at McCreary and FM 544 ?– The Railroad has finally completed what they need to do as far as their part now the City of Murphy has started work on connecting the street and should be finished in 30 days per the Public Works Dept at 972-424-6021.

Apartment Construction on South side of Creekside Estates ?– A small group of homeowners from the Action Committee met with the developers of the new apartment complex that will abut Creekside Estates on the south side bordering McMillen Road. Representatives from SBG Development Services, L.P., made a short presentation and answered questions regarding some of our concerns. All in all, we were pleased with their answers and the rendering of the new property, but asked that they return and make a full presentation to the entire HOA at our annual meeting.
