The HOA is in need of block captains for each street in our subdivision. The block captains would be responsible to handout the semi-monthly HOA newsletter and also make contact with their neighbors if important information needed to be disseminated between the times each newsletter is distributed. Please contact Kathy Welp at 972/612-3283 or via email at Psalmsister@comcast.net to volunteer. If enough volunteers are not found, we may have to resort to mailing the news letters which will impact the HOA budget.
Transportation Update ?– Traffic Light at FM 1378 & Park Blvd
At the February 8 Council meeting, City Council unanimously approved a resolution for City Manager Mark Roath to execute a proposal for engineering services for a temporary traffic signal and conceptual intersection layout at the intersection of Country Club (FM 1378) and Park Blvd.
The City submitted a third traffic signal warrant analysis on November 10, 2004 to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for the installation of a traffic signal at this intersection. On January 13, 2005, TxDOT approved the study; however, they would not be able to fund the engineering and construction of this traffic signal until the 2005-06 fiscal year.
To expedite the installation of this signal, the City has decided to move forward with funding the approximately $32,625 for the engineering services. The funding for this project comes from intersection improvements allocated in the 1999 Bond Program.
City Engineer Chris Holsted shared that the City?’s goal is to have the temporary traffic signal installed this summer, in time for the 2005-06 school year.
