Evergreen Meadows Homeowners Association

Covenant Corner

Jul 11, 2000

With the recent fires in our backyard, these two covenants need to be addressed for the safety of our homes and our property. Compliance results in helping to make Evergreen Meadows a great place to live and is appreciated by all your neighbors.
# 9 Subject : Maintenance of Grounds: It shall be the responsibility of the owner of each lot to prevent the development of any unclean, unsightly, or unkempt conditions of building or grounds which shall tend to substantially decrease the beauty of the neighborhood. Native plants and grasses may be kept in their natural, unmaintained condition. All species of thistle are considered to be exotic, nonnative species.
# 18 Subject: Unsanitary Conditions: No unsanitary conditions prejudicial to the public health shall be permitted on any site. No liquid waste of any description shall be drained, dumped or disposed in any way into open ditches or water sources. No portion of any site shall be used or maintained as a dumping ground for rubbish of any description.
Only a few continue to violate these and the other covenants, and in fairness to the majority of homeowners the Covenants Committee will continue to expect compliance from everyone. The Rules and Regulations of the Evergreen Meadows Homeowners Association state the Board of Directors can levy a fine of $25.00 per day, up to a maximum of $500.00 a month for continued noncompliance of these covenants.
