I would like to thank you for volunteering to help, and believe me we will be calling on you. We did have a block captain for your street but not sure what happened to them. If you are serious about helping with the newsletter that would be great but distributing is the issue that we keep having, getting volunteers to take them to all houses. This is why I started one on the web site, but it isn't much. If you would like to make the newsletter on the web better, that would be nice. I will give you access to the newsletter if you like.
I wanted to do a treat in trunk thing for the young trick or treaters but I didn't get any responses. Also I wanted to do a Contest for the best, scariest and original decorated house in the neighborhood. But because of the short time and the small amount of people that I can contact to vote on the houses, that can't happen. Maybe if I take some pictures, with the residents approval of course, we can put them in the web newsletter.
We just haven't found the best way to get everyone's attention about the benefits of being involved in their neighborhood association. Plus when we start working on getting a park committee together to decide what we would like in the park, people will start complaining because they didn't have a say so about how the park was developed. Then it will be too late.
So if you can, help us with ideas of how to get more people involved or at least know that we exist.
