CHRISTMAS FAMILY DAY
Special Thanks To: New Market Flower Shop, Country Hearts & Flowers, Blooms & Heirlooms, Maggies Angles, Ace Hardware, Mom & Pops Party Store and RR Donelley & Sons- for all their support & generous decorative donations for our festivities. I hope everyone enjoyed Family Day In December.
Special thanks to all that helped decorate the armory for the family day it was beautiful.

Do not forget the Super Bowl Party. It is going to be held at the Crawfordsville Armory. We are selling ticket until the 7 of January at the end of drill. If we have not sold 14 tickets by then we will not have a Party. We need to make enough to keeps us from going in the whole.

Mobilization
How does it Happen?
The President of the United States, as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, can order National Guard and Reserve units and members to active duty in the event of a national emergency. If this happens, a chain of events is started that is called an ?“alert.?”

How will the Soldier or Airman be alerted?
The individual will normally be alerted by phone. If (s)he cannot be reached by phone, the unit commander will have the individual notified in person. However, if the Guard member hears about a major mobilization over they radio or in the newspaper, but has not been personally alerted,(s)he should report to his/her unit armory/base immediately for mobilization.

The question you must ask yourself is ?“What if my soldier or airman were mobilized today: what would I do??” If you know for a fact that they have placed in their Readiness Record a copy of each Birth Certificate and your Marriage License, you can breathe easier. But if you don?’t know this for a fact, please stop right now and ask them. If they haven?’t have them do it TODAY!

Your FRG can help you obtain Birth Certificate from other states and help you with preparing your records for a mobilization. Just stop in and see us at our meeting and let us know what you need.
